The fee includes all meals for skippers only. Skippers and crew can purchase additional meals by using the food reservation form.

DCYC Members will be invoiced on their next statement for this event. Non-members can pay at the door or mail their payment prior to the event.

The Dallas Corinthian Yacht Club (DCYC) cordially invites you to attend the Terlingua in Exile Regatta and the Al Schlitz Beer Can Regatta.

SITE

DCYC is a private yacht club, located on the north shore of Lake Lewisville at 1399 Yacht Club Road, Oak Point, Texas 75068.  Directions and other information relating to DCYC appear at www.dcyc.org.

RULES

 All races will be governed by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) Racing Rules and the prescription of the U.S. Sailing Association (2009-2012).  All vessels shall sail under these sailing instructions, and applicable one-design class rules. 

 RACING

The event will consist of as many races as possible. NO RACE SCORE WILL BE EXCLUDED from a boat’s regatta score. This modifies Rule A2.  One race may constitute a regatta.

ELIGIBILITY

Open to all keel boats, DCYC members and non-members, subject to constituted fleets.

 FLEETS AND HANDICAPS

 Three (3) or more similar boats constitute a fleet. PHRF handicapping will be used for non one-designed yachts.

ENTRY AND FEES

The entry fee for this regatta is $50.00. The fee include all meals for skippers only. Skippers and crew can purchase additional meals by using the food reservation form. Online registration (www.dcyc.org) only. Non-members bring their payment (check) to the registration table when you arrive to check-in for the regatta. The entry fee includes participation in the Regatta, use of a ramp/powered hoist for launching and haul out, use of mast hoists for mast stepping, trailer storage/boat dockage for the duration of the regatta, food, snacks and drinks for the skipper. For crew, extra fees apply. See the website for food registration (crew only).

COURSES

Races will be sailed on courses of Windward Leeward design or variations thereof.

SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Sailing Instructions will be distributed to official participants during registration/check-in.

Saturday, October 22nd  

0700 – 0900 hrs • Continental Breakfast
0700 – 0900  hrs • Registration
0915 hrs • Skippers Meeting
1030 hrs • First Gun for race one. (Additional races to follow)

1700 hrs • Happy Hour, Entertainment  

1800 hrs • Dinner,

’Dark-thirty’ hrs • Al Schlitz Regatta at the pool (SEE RULES BELOW)

 

Sunday, October 23rd

 

0700 – 0900 hrs • Continental Breakfast
0930 hrs • First Gun of the first race of the day (Additional races to follow)

 

No race will start after 1330 hrs. Trophy and awards presentation on the ground floor of the Club will follow the end of Sunday’s races.
